Connecting you with Australian culture online
The main menu items appear throughout this site on the left. Use them to move from any screen to any main menu screen. A text menu bar also appears at the top and bottom of every screen.
To gain a quick overview of the site's contents the sitemap is optimised for fast downloading and is compatible with text readers. It can also be used as an alternative method of navigating.
Searching is available from the homepage and from the righthand side of most screens. For help with searching, see our search help screen.
We also have an advanced search feature that enables you to focus your search by category and/or sub-category, and/or location, and/or audience type, plus key words. This feature is accessible on all screens from the link on the search box on the right of each screen.
There is also a separate search which is restricted to our Australian stories.
Our Internet Development Guides also have a 'Search the Guides' box.
As we do not use any framesets, you can bookmark any screen in this site for direct access later.
There are thousands of links out of this site to other cultural websites around Australia; clicking on any of these will take you directly to the other site within the same browser session. Use the back button and/or history on your browser to return to this site.

If you can see this message, you are probably not seeing this site in the way it was designed. This site uses cascading style sheets (CSS2) to control the way in which elements are displayed on the page.
You will still be able to access everything in this site, but we do recommend you upgrade your browser to a more recent, standards compliant, browser.
