A new Australian cultural search engine is now available for use in any website, anywhere - and its **FREE**! The 'Bluey' search is a collection of over 1.3 million web pages from over 2,700 evaluated Australian cultural websites.

By using an Application Program Interface (API) - a bit of HTML code which sends a query to the Culture and Recreation Portal's search database - you can install Bluey in your own website to give you, and all your visitors, direct access to the index.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1) Visit Bluey's home; 2) Copy the code; 3) drop the code into your own web page and then go searching! Bluey is the search engine powering Australia's Culture and Recreation Portal - an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.

French Paintings from the Musée Fabre, Montpellier is an exhibition of 84 outstanding masterpieces never before seen in this country and is being shown at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory until 15 February 2004. Covering three centuries of French art the exhibition features works by great artists and brings together an exceptional array of iconic paintings covering all artistic movements from 1600 to 1900, including Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism and Impressionism.

Discover the Outlawed! from across the world by looking into the lives of outlaws who became figures of national significance. This new exhibition from National Museum of Australia will explore the personas and stories of outlaws from Robin Hood to Pancho Villa, from Ned Kelly to Jesse James. On display are objects, film, and interactives that reveal the evolution of outlaw legends in popular culture and legend making.
