OZeCulture Conference - 'Magic, Money and Myth'

OZeCulture is the national conference about culture, digital content and ebusiness and covered all aspects of the use of digital media and the Internet to produce, promote and distribute cultural products and services.

The conference was held in Byron Bay, New South Wales, from 7 - 8 April 2005, and was a big success.

2006 Commonwealth Games - Ticket Ballot
The 2006 Commonwealth Games Ticket Ballot closes at midnight (AEST) on 22 April 2005. All Australian residents can enter, and all valid applications have an equal chance of success. You can enter the Ticket Ballot online - create an account to begin your application, then log in whenever you like to edit your ticket selections - or visit the Melbourne 2006 website for other methods of applying for tickets.

QUIDAM
Cirque Du Soleil is currently touring Australia with their amazing production Quidam. Quidam is a celebration of the human spirit featuring a rare selection of the world's greatest circus arts performers. Directed by Franco Dragone, Quidam transforms an anonymous world into a place of hope and connection. Currently performing in Melbourne until May 1, the production then moves to Adelaide from 12 May - 5 June and then to Perth from 1 July - 17 July. Don't miss the opportunity to see this spectacular production.

Behind the Lines: The Year's Best Cartoons
The National Museum of Australia in Canberra is delighted to present Behind the Lines: The Year's Best Cartoons. Through its annual political cartooning competition the Museum is able to offer this amazing exhibition. On display are some 279 entries from 63 artists that reflect the past year of Australian politics in all its guises. Take a walk back through the year that was, and revisit the politics that made headlines and made us think. The exhibition is on display at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra until 13 June 2005, before moving onto the Constitutional Centre in Perth Western Australia from 1 July - 31 August 2005.

Brisbane International Film Festival - call for entries
The 14th Brisbane International Film Festival has opened its call for entries. The festival, which prides itself on showcasing Asia Pacific cinema, is currently inviting Australian and international filmmakers to enter their films in this non-competitive event. The program is diverse and includes features, documentaries and short films, animation and some video. The festival will run from 26 July to 7 August 2005 and will screen more than 200 films over the 13 days. Entries close 29 April 2005.
