I know my own dog could have benefited from having this type of animal insurance. My late dog ended up having to have two knee reconstructions at a cost of 5k. Now, thats a lot of money. I didnt have a spare 5k lying around so I had to borrow money in order to get the surgery. I have repaid all the money I borrowed but it was really inconvenient having to do this.
Had I had Pet Insurance it would have meant I would have only had to of paid a fraction of the costs. I think Pet Insurance is invaluable and I recommend all my friends get it.
The premiums for pet insurance start with some companies from around $4 a week for accident cover.
Its something that if you are an animal lover, you may wish to investigate for your best mate. After all, in Australia, our dogs play such a big part in our lives.
