Training Course Finder

The Training Course Finder is an online database that allows users to find information on Australian education and training programs for the cultural sector. The database contains over 1,500 training courses from over 240 organisations. These include organisations from TAFE institutes, private providers, enterprises and industry associations with qualifications ranging from certificate through to degree and post graduate level. It also includes annual workshops and short courses. Each course is categorised in one or more of the following areas:

• Arts management
• Film, television, video and radio
• Music
• Visual arts and crafts
• Community arts
• Libraries
• New media
• Writing and publishing
• Design
• Museums, heritage
• Theatre, dance
• Indigenous

Using the Training Course Finder

Find Australian cultural training courses useful to the cultural sector. Select combinations from the drop-down lists above (the default returns all known Australian cultural training programs and relevant services sorted alphabetically by name) or search by keyword and/or combinations of keyword and drop down selections. The results screen for a training course search will return:

• the training course name;
• a short description of the training course/s which meet your search criteria;
• a link to more information about each training course listed; and,
• a search box at the bottom of each results screen enabling you to refine your search or start a new search.

National Training Information Service (NTIS)

The National Training Information Service, developed by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA), provides a training packages database which lists nationally accredited courses and qualifications. The database is updated by the relevant training authority in each state.
