It’s no wonder women love dressing up in costumes; it’s soooo much fun and you can have a great time with your friends by throwing a costume party. Whether you’re holding a party at your place or you’ve been invited to one, selecting womens costumes can be difficult. With so many costumes up for consideration, it’s not surprising that some women find themselves overwhelmed by all the choices.

Do you stick with the classics or splash out on something fancy which is also daring and risky. It’s a tough choice and there’s nothing worse than turning up to a costume party to find out someone else is wearing the same outfit. What’s worse is if they arrived before you!

Classic themes include outfits such as Alice in Wonderland, Mini Mouse, Pocahontas and Angel costumes. While these are great choices, the large the party, the bigger the chance you’re going to run into someone dressed the same as you. If you don’t care, go for it but most people prefer to look unique than just like everyone else.

Unique themes include outfits such as characters from the movie Grease, Lady Gaga, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Cleopatra. These costumes are less popular but still look great. It’s unlikely anyone else will be wearing them at your party, so you’ll be a true one of a kind on the night.

Above all, you should look for a costume that fits well and is comfortable. There’s nothing worse than spending the night at a fancy dress ball when your outfit simply doesn’t fit. Play it safe and purchase a costume in one or two sizes larger than you usually would do unless you’re certain it will be a good fit.
