| Description |
CAMS is the governing body of motor sport in Australia. In a pursuit such as motor sport where safety is vital for all participants and spectators, it's clear that rules and regulations must be devised carefully, observed closely and enforced rigidly. An international structure exists to develop and enforce these rules. Around the world, the general principles for motor sport are determined by the Federation Internationale de Automobile (FIA). The FIA delegates national control of motor sport to one national sporting authority (ASN) in each of 106 nations. In Australia, that ASN is CAMS, which is a democratically formed body made up of the more than 300 affiliated motor sport clubs and more than 37,000 members around the country. |
